FAQs

What is your confidentiality policy?
Tell a Therapist will protect all communications and keep them confidential and information is never disclosed without written permission with a few exceptions:
•   Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse.
•   If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s (danger to others) or intends to harm himself or herself.

How long will I need therapy?
We can work together to answer this question.  Some people use therapy to work towards a certain goal in a fixed period of time and others use it as a way to practice self-care on an ongoing basis.

How long are sessions and how frequently will we meet?
Sessions typically occur weekly on a mutually agreed upon day/time though scheduling changes may be accommodated. Each session lasts for 45-50 minutes.

How much does therapy cost?
Please call or email to discuss the fee.

Do you accept insurance?
Tell a Therapist is an Out-of-Network provider. Many insurance plans allow you to select an out-of-network provider and so you may be eligible for reimbursement. We provide a monthly invoice which can be submitted to your insurance company for direct reimbursement to you.  Payment is due by cash, check, or credit card at the time of each session.

What is your cancellation policy?
In the event that you need to cancel your session, at least 24 hours notice is required.  For cancellation with less than 24 hours notice clients are financially responsible for their missed session.  Rescheduling within the same week may be an option (availability permitting) and phone sessions are available.
